Antônio Carlos de Oliveira operates his family farm, Sítio Roseira, in the Mantiqueira de Minas region of Brazil. The Oliveira family has been in the coffee industry for more than 50 years, and Antônio is the fourth generation to carry on the tradition. Part of Sítio Roseira initially came to Antônio through inheritance, but he would expand the property in 2018 through purchasing more land for his operation. Today, the property totals 25 hectares with 5.7 hectares of land planted with Red Catuai variety coffee. Like many farms in Mantiqueira de Minas, all work here is completed manually due to the uneven terrain of the region. However, the favorable altitude and climate of the area lend themselves to the production of high quality coffee. This lot of Red Catuai coffee underwent Natural processing. Catuai was made by the Instituto Agronomico (IAC) of Sao Paulo State in Campinas, Brazil by crossing Mundo Novo and Caturra varieties. Catuai coffees are cultivated widely across Brazil and are known for their high productivity potential.
